WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY?

I don't know how we could ever summarize our existence on one page. So we will just try to answer these 5 questions. Who are we, what motivates us, when did this dream first start, where we are going, and why do we do what we do?

What's Our Motivation For LBD?

We started Little Big Detour to record stories of what our early twenties are like. It's so we can look back on our adventures.

Of course, by putting our stories online, other people will see them. And that's welcomed because we want to inspire others to do the same.

Lastly, this channel gives us a reason to take more wild adventures and live a more fulfilling life. As you know, trips often get cancelled or hardly planned as adults, but by telling the world we are going to do something, we have more of an obligation to see it through.

When Did This Dream Begin?

We all met at College of the Ozarks as freshmen. Over the next 4 years, we became best friends. Then, we graduated and worked together as Zipline guides. After a fun summer, we parted ways, and hated it. That's when LBD was born.

Became Zipline Coworkers: 5.25

Everyone Moved Away: 7.25

Decided To Do This Thing: 10.25

Met And Went Through College: 10.21-5.25

Nathan lives in Illinois, Caleb lives in Missouri, and Carson lives in Florida. So this means every get-together is much harder, but also more cherished. Right now, it means we always meet in different places, aka wherever we can. If we can, we want to live near each other in NC, FL, or MO.
